Ohio Shawnee Pottery Light Green Hand Vase

Shawnee Pottery Lady Hand Bud Vase--832 x 1228

Sorry Sold

This graceful bud vase  in a soft green glaze
was made by the Shawnee pottery Company in
Zanesville, Ohio sometime in the mid-twentieth
century. By 1961, Shawnee Pottery, which began
in 1937, had ceased production.

The right hand of this vase is holding a flower
called Angel’s Trumpet and there is a bow tied
at the base of the hand. The vase measures
6 ¾ inches high, 3 inches across the top and
2 ½ inches across the round base. The impressed
mark on the bottom is “U.S.A.” which is typical
for Shawnee pottery. The only wear showing is
the usual rub marks in the unglazed ring around
the base.
